So in winter we saw the huge lace trend which was quite edgy but as we move into Spring & Summer lace teams with softer materials and takes a girly approach, becoming romantic & glamorous!
Think all things pretty like feminine florals, flirty sheers & sexy lace for this look.
The S/S10 catwalks are all over this trend with designs from Antonio Marras, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Christian Dior and Valentino are just to name a few! And its not only the designers, our fave celebs are in love with this trend too…
Romantic Glamour Celebrities
This risqué, yet feminine trend is here and is sure to stick around for some time yet so lace and sheer items are must have essentials for your wardrobe. But don’t panic by Sheer I don’t mean a completely see through outfit! The current catwalk collections use sheer fabrics in every possible way to create layers, interesting detail, girly draping and of course the tight sheer look.
Try wearing a sheer material layered to create a look of chic sophistication.
Luckily most of us have probably got a little lace something knocking around seen as lace was such a big trend in winter, but try creating a romantic glamorous look with almost any see-through fabrics, from delicate chiffons to thin knits.
If you don’t feel comfortable in a lace top like Hayden (above) try wearing black lace leggings or tights. You can even rock this look and just add a touch of Sheerness…try plaiting a piece of lace into a long side plait or tie a piece of lace around a blazer to create a home made lace belt! Or even take inspiration from D&G by stitching lace patches onto your jeans… experiment!
